- Why did you choose this celebration? Consider the description of the places, the cultural background, the number of attendees, etc.
- Why is this celebration better/worse than the others? Compare this celebration to the others presented in the news, considering the distance from your place, the different activities, the ways to get there, etc.
The most important celebration is “Fiestas Patrias”, because it commemorates the day of the independence of Chile and participates all the people of the country. The best of “Fiestas Patrias” is that you can celebrate in your home with your family, or attend “Ramadas” in your city. It is the cheapest celebration, because the one thing that you need is to want to celebrate this great day in family.

ReplyDeleteI agree with Carolina Montecinos, because i think too "Fiestras Patrias" is the biggest celebration for all the chilean but on september 18 we don´t celebrate the independence day that´s on february 12. On september 18 we celebrate the first national goverment meeting. This date is better than others in the news because is a celebration with the family and friends, a great oportunity to eat delicious "asados", enjoy with our national dance "cueca" and funny games.

DeleteWe tripantu celebration is like new year, but is from mapuches culture, celebration coincides with the winter solstice. i think that is important celebration, because we can remember the history and origins about us. People in the celebration make a rituals for invoke they ancestors. We tripantu is better than others celebrations, because is the only moment when people give thanks to earth, nature and ancestors.

ReplyDeleteFiestas Patrias is the most important celebration in Chile, because is celebrate around the country, from Arica until Punta Arenas, thus all chilean people participate. This celebration is in conmemoration of the first governing board on September 18, in the year 1810. All houses raise the flag of Chile, and make barbecue and "fondas". Fiestas Patrias is better than Fiesta de la Tirana or We tripantu because more people celebrate this party, and the place of celebration is all country.

to celebrate: there is no necessity to go somewhere, but cook Chilean meals and

ReplyDeleteMy favorite celebration is fiestas patrias, because I go to dance cueca and cumbia. It is a very funny celebration, Many people are present at the Fonda, my favorite fonda is in the park Ines de Suarez. I eat roast meat and bread with sausage and I like drink terremoto. I to choose this celebration, because It is in the Chile and a holiday that all the Chileans celebrate.
I think that the best celebration is "Fiestas Patrias", because is more exciting and extensive than the others celebrations. Fiestas Patrias is different and unique, because you can celebrate wherever you want, and you can go to some "Fondas" to dance a lot.

ReplyDeleteThe best celebration for me is the ‘fiestas patrias’, because it's in all Chile, not like ‘the Andean Festival with the Strength of the Sun’ for example, it's in the city of Arica. In this celebration I can go to the ‘fondas’ to dance ‘cueca’, eat ‘anticuchos’ and ‘empanadas’; and I can celebrate with all my family.
ReplyDeleteI choose the “Carnaval andino con la fuerza del Sol” because is the festival with the dance and music most striking, done in the north of territory national, in Arica. Is very happy, because a lots of people from Chile and more countries, dance for the indigenous tradition but is more far than Viña del Mar music festival from Santiago.

the best celebration is "fiestas patrias " because I love the joy of the people at this time, is celebrated on September 18th with parades, air shows , festivals, patriotic decorations I think it's better than any other festival because the traditional food is very good. Another reason why many parties is better is because it is celebrated throughout the country.
ReplyDeleteI think that the best celebration of Chile is “Santiago a Mil”. This celebration is held in summer outdoor in where people enjoy culture and art events with their family. This festival has a duration of three weeks where you can see performances by dancers, acrobats and street performance. Finally, this event is cheaper than “Viña del Mar Music Festival” .
ReplyDeleteIn Chile, September 18 is known as the independence day, which is celebrated usually forma couple of days, at the most a week. I choose this celebration because i usually travel to cascadas in that date, were I get to spend time with my family, see my friends that leave close by, eat barbecues, dance and celebrate with the people I care about. In my opinion, is the best festivity because you can celebrate it any where you want, with the people that you want and get to meet new people during the "fondas". (Diferent places where people get together to eat, drink, dance, and play typical chilean games). Compared to the other festivities, I believe this one is the best since everybody celebrates it, not like festival la tirana, we tripantu, carnaval andino con la fuerza del sol. This other festivities tend to be celebrated by people that know about the topics, and usually leave near by. A person that lives in Santiago, wont travel to Arica to go see the festival. However, everybody celebrates the independence day, it doesnt matter where you are or who you are with, everybody knows about how to celebrate it, what to drink, what to eat. Of course there will always be a few people not interested, but these are the least. It is a national festive day, that brings all the country together. Yes, maybe everybody watches viñas music fest in tv, but they arent experiencing the show, they arent leaving the moment, sencing the atmosphere. I believe, September 18, is the most complete festive day, it combinates all the other festivities, it has music, just like Carnaval andino and viña del mar, it has dancing and competitions just like festival la tirana and Santiago a mil. Its the perfect mixture of events in one. The only event not mentioned would be we tripantu, which is the mapuche new year, which you only celebrate if you are mapuche, which makes it not very known, for not a lot of people celebrate it. In conclusion, fiestas patrias, is my favorite festivity since every chilean celebrates it acording to their own standarts, that unites the hole country.

Also it´s a celebration that convene to all chilean families who go to festivals that are more inexpensive than Viña del Mar Music Festival. As well Patriotic Festivities take more importance to folclore and traditions than the other Festival.

Patriotic Festivities or “Fiestas Patrias” is very important to Chile because is a party day. I think that everybody likes this traditional day.
ReplyDeleteI choose this one for three reasons. The first one is because I see my family and we have a nice day eating, laughing and dancing (this is my best moment because sometimes they dance very funny). The second reason is because we are in September and the festivity day is coming. And finally because is the most popular traditional activity in Chile!
I think that is the best celebration in Chile, because we remember how to be a Chilean and this is so amazing. Viña Del Mar Music Festival, for example, is a celebration with national and international musicians and I think that it's nice, but is a cultural activity, not historic activity.
I hope that everyone will have good Patriotic Festivities. And if you drink terremoto, don´t drive it. Good holiday.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite celebration of Chile are "Fiestras Patrias" because the independence of Chile is celebrated on the date of September 18 , this celebration represents all the people of the country. The typical food that is eaten during these days is the roast and "empandas". During these days typical games are played and also the Cueca is the traditional dance . Fiestras Patrias are better than other celebrations because this is celebrated in all regions throughout the country.

Vina del Mar Music Festival is the best celebration in Chile because it's a good way to end the summer. Tourists come from around the world to see artists of all styles, from romantic ballads, rock leyends to reggaeton. This celebration is better tan others because it´s done in a tourists area for holidaymakers enjoy the sun, the beach in Vina del Mar.

It's a traditional celebration and all hope to celebrate 18 of september, in this national dances party dance, typical meals are enjoyed Chile and everyone can do and it's best that is done throughout chile.
